The view was great. Breakfasts were nice.
It was just above the train station which I did not realise when booking. It was noisy so had windows closed. No ability to turn on the aircon.

Manager and staff were great. Ability to easily walk to/from Varenna, the ferry dock and train station. View of Lake Como. Real A/C in a historic building. Really enjoyed the breakfast.
Our room was really small with little space for our luggage. However, we knew from reviews that our room would be small but offset by having a private outdoor space (that we didn't think we would use but we did every night). Neighboring restaurant had noisy cabs but it closed early enough so it wasn't a big issue.

This is an absolutely charming B&B, owned and managed by the incredible Mauro. Such a likable man who made every aspect of my stay excellent. This is a perfect location, easy walk to the train station and short walk to the ferry terminal and town center. I can't wait to return with my wife one of these days. She will love it as well. The evenings can be a bit loud with the train station just below your windows, but that all quieted down by bedtime and I slept with the windows open and no noise issues at all.
