Apple Hostel Bishkek

The hostel is a popular choice so is good for meeting other travellers. The team offer a wide range of activities (eg Son Kul horse trek) and can help with arranging transport etc, albeit at a premium cost to arranging it directly. The private room was spacious and clean.

The hostel is located at quite a distance from the city centre in an area with not much around. Not the end of the world as Yandex taxis are really cheap and readily-available but don’t expect to be staying central. The prices are expensive compared to other accommodation in Bishkek. Worth a night if you are a solo traveller looking to meet other people and potentially share costs of onward trips but you can get a lot nicer private rooms for €70 a night in Bishkek.

Triple room was great. Handy to have a fridge. Nice communal area. Good to have 24 hr reception. Lots of tours on offer.

Shame the pool at next door Apricot lodge was unavailable due to cleaning. A little bit away from most of the attractions we wanted to visit. Breakfast was cheap at 200 som, but a bit lacking in choice.

Clean room and private bathroom. Staff spoke great English.

Wanted to charge $25 USD for parking a small motorcycle for 1 week even though we were going to stay there before and after and they had lots of empty space for parking. This seemed excessively expensive.

The staff was helpful and the room itself was quite spacious.

The bathroom was not the best and the location felt a little bit off.
