We were on a 30 day vacation staying in about 8 hotels. All of them 5 star except on by the Guangzhou airport. This hotel was the absolute best. We did book their 1000 sq. ft. room with the direct Pearl River view and that must also helped.
The hotel is a landmark structure/hotel in Guangzhou. There are many, many functions and tourist who are not hotel guest hovering the hotel from 8:30 am through the late evening. That made the lobby/restaurant/other public facilities very busy areas. There is no exclusive feel entering the hotel.
