Les Fauvettes

Absolutely the most friedly and caring owners/staff I have ever encountered. The location is right in the middle of the village. The crossing is well transited but the windows are sound proof. We had a balcony with the most beautiful mountain view. The food is excellent and - best of all - the owners are from Northern France marrying Northern French cuisine and a huge and magnificent collection of Belgian and local beers with Southern French food. The wine list is also excellent. The bathrooms have been modernized and are top notch. The location easily allows driving to Gap, Orcières or the Lac de Serre Ponçon for day trips. Cette halte à l'Hôtel Les Fauvettes s'est parfaitement passée. Devant récupérer mon plus jeune fils en camp scout dans la région, cet hôtel était idéalement placée pour un voyage devant se poursuivre jusque la Côte d'Azur.

Mon arrivée ayant été différée (21h00) ; nous n'avons pas pu profiter du dîner "normal". Cependant, j'ai pu échanger plusieurs fois avec la patronne des lieux qui a été très compréhensive et qui nous a au final préparé une assiette froide de charcuterie et fromages de pays ; délicieux! Accompagnée d'un Ch'ti Spritz servi par le patron. Quant au petit-déjeuner, copieux et varié.
