Great location, and facilities. Highly recommend.
We needed to access the kitchen before 7am as we had a big day trip planned and would have liked to have had our breakfast but the kitchen was locked til 7am.

Breakfast great. Plenty of choice
A small oven would have been useful

I loved this place. I can’t comment on any dormitory accommodation, but I got a comfortable bunk bed in a basic, clean, private cell. The staff are friendly and helpful, everything works, and the location is great; on the edge of the town centre and fifteen minutes from the station. And that’s without saying anything about the novelty - for me at least - of staying in a former prison.
It may be nit-picking, but I did wonder if the facilities - toilets, showers and especially the small guests’ kitchen - would be adequate when the hostel was full. I should say that I had no problems myself, but it didn’t seem particularly busy when I was there.

Super convenient location just a walk from Leeuwarden central station and an easy walk around the main town/shopping areas. Good food nearby and a quick bus ride to AquaZoo Leeuwarden. The staff were super helpful and welcoming. I stayed solo (which helped) and the bathroom/shower were always clean/available. Lovely reading corner too.
