Manoir Sainte Victoire

It was beautiful and conveniently located and walkable to many of the city’s attractions and restaurants. The room was spacious and the bathroom was modern and had everything we needed. There was a Nespresso machine in the room and the host had made a fan available. The breakfast was superb.

We were aware that this was an old manor but the room being on the 2nd floor required us to walk up 35 + steps (triangle shaped) carrying our bags. This may not be the best location or property for older people. In addition, we thought we had “free parking” which we did but in reality the parking is free on the streets of the city and it’s up to you to find it. Sometimes it’s nearby, and sometimes it’s two blocks away. Be aware if you are not travelling light - both with regards to parking and steps.

The manor is well placed in the centre of town, close to all the restaurants, shop, a park. The building is beautiful and well maintained, the room was spacious and had all the needed add ons that were much appreciated, like a small kitchen, a coffee machine, a lot of information about things to do in the area and the rich history. The breakfast was filling. The room was clean and had plenty of extras that were useful. This is a true gem in the middle of the city. Before arriving we also received an email with a list of restaurants and were advised to book in advance, which we did.

Two things that bothered me, and can be improved: 1. The water pressure in the shower was very low. 2. The dining room/living room area where we ate breakfast- although gorgeous and beautifully decorated, had cigarettes smell, assumably because someone smoked inside before that. This may not bother to some people, but it does to me. Without these two points I would have given a 10 instead of 8.

Unique lodging in a tower of the home. Great breakfast. Easy walking distance to things in the area.
