Hotel de Berne

Hotel check in time from 14:30 which not causing any issues as you can leave your luggage in reception and just walk around the city. Staff was very friendly. Location is superb as around you have train station, plenty of shops and tram and bus to travel around city. There is main road and within 30min you can end up near the sea. Room was comfortable, bed and pillows as well. Not noisy at all during whole my stay. Air conditioner was working fine as I travel in first week of October weather still was warm. Breakfast can be eaten near hotel have plenty restaurant and for evening meal I was walking in Gusti restaurant their dishes absolutely amazing. Very great location to use train till Monaco and back, easy to use tram to go till sea.

I had breakfast included in my stay, but looks like this option doesn't make any sense. It is not worth buying breakfast as not many options to choose from : bread, 3 different ham, cheese, yogurt, cereal, nuts, fruits such as grapes, apple, banana, tea or coffee, and juice. Cooked sausage, ham, eggs, croissants and pain au chocolate bun. About room service : my room was good cleaned but I had 2 bags of tea just at the first day when I done my check in, in any other days, she was not topped up my tea bags, and she gave me tea bags just on my last day which was very weird. Well, not complaining as weather was hot to drink tea, but when I used my tea bags with biscuits, I didn't get replacement.

The hotel was in a very convenient location, right next to the main street and close to the train station, which made it very easy to get around. We also received a free upgrade from one room to two rooms, which was a really nice surprise. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

There was honestly very little we didn’t like. We wanted to use an iron, but there wasn’t one available in the room; however, we were able to use one in the shared breakfast area, so it wasn’t really a problem.

The staff was so nice. Especially the three Front Desk I have met. The guy in morning shift clearly meet our expectations; making our check-in smoothly. The afternoon shift, the girl is impressive as well. Always anticipating what we need. And lastly, the night shift guy; always there to help us. Thank you. I appreciate such kindness and professionalism. Shout out also to the young man in the morning shift who's in charge of cleaning the rooms; even though he doesn't speak English, still, he managed to help us with our requests. Thank you so much.

The area. Just perfect.

Poor breakfast. The bathroom was very small with a faulty shower. Very noisy at night.
