F53 Kevin's Charming Houses

The property was very clean and well Located, but it was how helpful Mary from Kevin’s Charming House was that really made our stay superb. The contact for check in and check out, local recommendations, and especially going above and beyond to help when we had some car trouble, made us want to recommend this place extremely highly.

Nice room. Nice bathroom. Comfortable bed.

We just felt it was too much style above substance. We walked in and it looks great with writing on the floor, writing on the walls, Buddha statues and those lights with monkeys holding a light bulb. But then you open the fridge and it's hot. I wanted to make sure I put the fridge on the coldest setting and so I asked AI. It explained to me that the fridge wasn't your usual fridge and it would take 12 to 24 hours to call down. We put a beer in the fridge and 24 hours later it was cool but not cold. There are no everyday drinking glasses. There are only two long stemmed wine glasses, that were left inside the hot fridge. Long stemmed wine glasses might look nice but not practical if you want a glass of water at night by your bedside. Finally, we paid a premium for the balcony and it was grim. There was an air conditioning unit, hidden by a metal panel. Warm air was being pumped through the panel into the seating area. We tried to sit outside but had to give up after 10 minutes. Other balconies did not have air conditioning units and so I guess our room (56 I think) was terrible because the air conditioning unit was pumping out heat at full blast from other rooms, even if we switched our air conditioning off.Given how hot the balcony was, it was a shame there was no drying rack or clothes line to dry beach towels, etc..
