We just got home from a week long stay at the Foster Ohia Rental Home. This was our first trip not staying with family locally, so finding this home nearby was perfect. The home was so comfy and included everything you’d need to make your stay enjoyable. It was private and excluded and we already miss going to sleep to the sound of the coquis and waking up to the chirping birds of the forest. Staying up on the hill was much more enjoyable and offered a nice reprieve from the Kona heat. Also loved that the house was very accessible for our youngest who is disabled. 10/10 recommend! We will be back for sure!

Perfect getaway from crowds and noise. Relax to bird sounds during the day and frogs at night. The vegetation is very lush in the cloud forest and it is frequently misty/drizzling. The temperature is 15-20 degrees cooler than at the beach.The house is very cozy and has everything you will need. They have coolers, insulated bottles, beach chairs, floaties, grill, etc all available for use. Beautiful woodwork and landscaping to admire. The whole house dehumidifier keeps everything comfortable.I am already thinking of coming back!

Very nice two bedroom house about 15 minutes up the mountain from town. Great place to get away from the crowds but still close to the beach. Comes with very friendly cat which we loved to have around after ling days hiking and beaching. Definitely need a car.

This cottage is up the kona Kailua mountain about 15 minutes. At this elevation there is thick rainforest. This is a nice change from the often dry low lands. It is beautiful waking up in the forest and listening to the birds each day. It’s a big island and everything requires driving, but this place is relatively central to all of the nice beaches on the west side. The cottage itself is nice and well appointed. It’s easy to be comfortable here. The fireplace is a nice touch for the evenings. The owners are super helpful and professional. You can’t go wrong with this vacation rental!
