Whilst YTF is undoubtedly a money sink and accordingly expensive to rent we felt it should have been a bit smarter. Paintwork scruffy in several external areas, rather dirty rear 'patio' floor, large table uneven (patched up) and felt there more could have been strimmed even allowing for not-quite faded daffodil and bluebell foliage. Rather cheap cutlery not a plus point and pieces are falling apart. The dishwasher somewhat awkward and not big enough. I felt the hot water tank was boiling some of the time. A great property, great weather, great fun so seen through a rosy tint. We greatly enjoyed it - but a return visit??

This is a lovely property, both the house and the gardens, but some details need working on. Hamilton was a responsive host, and kindly allowed us the slightly earlier check in we requested. For what seems like a premium property, it was disappointing that there is no wardrobe or hanging rail in bedroom 5, which otherwise is a nice room. Examples of those details which don't quite match up to the otherwise good standard include: The kitchen tap was loose and felt like it could come adrift at any point (we reported this to Hamilton shortly after arrival); some downstairs carpets are stained; the dishwasher is temperamental; the electric oven is small (although there is an AGA) and felt grubby; and the garden furniture outside the kitchen door needed sweeping. But Yew Tree Cottage is a great place for a larger group to stay - the house itself has lots of character, the garden area is very green and peaceful, and the hot tub and games room are great.

We rented the house for 4 nights and everything was great. Hamilton was super helpful and the house is perfect. Kids loved the playroom and we really enjoyed the barbacue and hot tub. Hope to be back. Would definitely recommend to spend a few days in the Cotswolds!

I booked the Yew Tree Farmhouse for a 70th birthday celebration. There were 11 of us and to location was perfect for our needs. We had a great weekend and booked a local chef to come into cook our dinner on the Saturday evening. The games room provided us with additional entertainment and we didn't realise how bad we were at pool and table football. in the area around Hannington Wick there were many places to go and visit especially RAF Fairford. The New Inn in Lechlaid on Thames was open for an evening meal on Sunday which was a godsend as not many pubs in the area were able to do so.The facilities at the farmhouse were as described on the website and the rooms were large and airy and the electric heaters were needed as the nights were chilly. The grounds were dog friendly with plenty of room to let our son's dog run around. The minor issues regarding the heating, cutlery, washing machine and tumble drier were passed on to the managing agent. All in all a good weekend was had by all.
