For the price, it is good value. It was clean, comfortable and the showers and toilets were good.

There is no power outlet beside your bed. This feels like a basic essential.

The thing I liked most was the location. It's very close to the famous Toji Temple, as well as several other temples nearby and Nishiki Market. There are also many convenience stores within walking distance. The place itself is a cute house, located on one of Kyoto's typical narrow streets, which gives it a nice local feel. It's within walking distance of the riverside and several temples. The property is also only about 15 minutes on foot from Kyoto Station, and you can easily walk, take the metro, or use the bus to get around. The staff are very friendly, and the place is comfortable and welcoming. Overall, it was an amazing experience. I would highly recommend this place. It's clean, quiet, and in a fantastic location.

It's a three-floor building, and if you're on the third floor, carrying luggage can be a bit difficult, but it's manageable. 👍

There was a drunk guy in the room. I know this has nothing to do with the hostel. However, it was a terrible beginning of the night and no one really did anything about it. So if this can be avoided that would be great.
