National Gallery Taormina B&B

This accommodation was honestly the best part of my stay in Taormina. I would gladly give it 11 out of 10. During my travels around Europe, I had only experienced this kind of keypad entry and fully remote check-in system in Milan, so I was especially impressed to find the same level of convenience here in Sicily. Not having to carry a physical key was extremely convenient, and everything from check-in to paying the city tax by card could be handled remotely and efficiently. The shared kitchen was separated from the sleeping area, so I could hardly hear other guests using it. The entire property was very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the bedding was clean, warm and substantial, which made sleeping here especially pleasant. Compared with some accommodations in southern Italy where the bedding can be quite light, this was a real advantage. The bathroom was also in excellent condition, and having both a washing machine and a dryer was another major plus. The shared kitchen was very well equipped and had almost everything I needed. Water, ice, coffee capsules and muffins were provided. The coffee capsules were especially delicious, and having ice available meant I could easily make iced coffee — something Korean travellers in particular may really appreciate. The Wi-Fi worked very well, and Netflix was also available. I also loved the terrace with its sea view. Sitting outside in the morning with a coffee provided by the accommodation while looking at the sea was one of my favourite moments here. The location was excellent as well. It is around a 10-minute walk from the centre of Taormina, in a quieter residential area, which I actually preferred. It was peaceful but still easy to walk into the centre, and there is also a supermarket along the way. If you enjoy running, you can even reach Castelmola in around 30 minutes.

Honestly, there was very little to complain about. If I had to mention one small thing, the hot water sometimes took a little while to come through, but it was not a significant inconvenience.

Nice B&B about a 10 minute walk away from the city center. The room was really big and clean. We enjoyed our stay very much. We had no problems at all to find a parkingspace right at the street in front of the b&b

Parking was a bit tricky (best to plan in advance), room was rather small (but absolutely fine for a short stay)

I booked the property because I thought as a B & B it would include breakfast. However, this was not included. I didn’t meet any staff at the property - it was very impersonal compared to other places I have stayed in during my time in Sicily.
