Thai House Beach Resort

The room was very good, with great area. The beach and pool was very nice

The access in the hotel have several stairs without ramps, that wasn't great for bags transport

The hotel may not be the newest, but it is very well maintained and the staff make a real effort to keep everything clean. We constantly saw staff cleaning and taking care of the property. The rooms are not particularly large, but spacious enough, and the bathroom was perfectly fine. A nice detail is the towel service: if you don’t want to be disturbed in the morning, you can simply leave the towels in a basket outside your room in the evening and they will be replaced. The breakfast buffet is not huge, but there is a good selection with something for everyone, including eggs, pancakes and fresh fruit. The hotel itself is a pleasant, low-rise property with a good-sized pool and direct access to a lovely beach. One evening there was a dinner on the beach with a fire show, which was a particularly nice experience. The location is also very convenient. The hotel is a little set back from the main road, which makes it much quieter, especially considering the traffic and motorbikes in Lamai. We always felt safe, and there was usually a security guard at the entrance, particularly in the evening. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, as well as a small supermarket in the side street and an ATM within easy walking distance. Most of all, the staff were consistently friendly, welcoming and helpful. I also really enjoyed the massage area at the hotel. The ladies there were absolutely lovely and the massages were excellent – I ended up going almost every day!

The property is starting to show its age in some areas and could benefit from some renovation. However, everything was kept clean and well cared for, so this did not have a major impact on our stay.

There was construction going on when we arrived + in booking there was showing that our room had a beautiful view from our window, but you can get that only from 3rd floor and we couldn’t go there because hotel was full. Hotel is super old and not in the best sanitary shape. The only hotel in Thailand where we felt that hotels staff were pissed off all time.
