Oxford House

I had a great visit and will book again as the team were great and location was perfect.

No having TV 2 nights of my stay

Location is good! Quick bus to central downtown - cute cafes, shops nearby. Near the park. Room was good - I had a third floor room; clean enough (although not a fan of the carpet around the bed... carpet in hotels arent a good idea). But felt clean enough. Washrooms are small, so far taller people, might be tricky. Good for a solo traveller, came for Sydney Marathon.

There is a carpet under and around the bed area. I'm sure it is vacuumed and cleaned for each guest - but preference would always be no carpets for hotels.

Great location with easy access to bus lines and within walking distance of the CBD and stadium. Lime bikes were also available nearby, which made getting around really convenient. The rooms were stylish, clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Having a restaurant attached was a great bonus for meals and morning coffees. Would happily stay again!

We booked a standard room. The bathroom was a little small but was sufficient for two nights.

The pool (which still needed a clean)

The pictures make it look better than it is. Rooms are tired and shabby looking need to be maintained. Unhelpful staff. Misleading information on their website. On the first night of my two night stay I was woken up my cleaner hoovering in the hallway early in the morning which continued to look dirty even after. On the second night I didn’t sleep at all as there was booming music playing from the pool bar area all night long which my room overlooked. I emailed the 24 hour reception to ask them to turn it down to get no response. When speaking to reception on checkout she was extremely unhelpful and said our mistake we aren’t actually 24 hour and I did see your email. So basically she ignored it
