Hotel Des Roches

I arrived very early and expected to store my bags. However, the receptionist found an available room and so I could access it straightaway. The view from my balcony in the top floor was amazing, overlooking the valley and mountains. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. The bathroom was a good size, too. The shower was good, although water went all over the bathroom floor. There was some noise from next door when they used the bathroom but I shut my bathroom door to eliminate that. Overall it was a lovely place to stay. Close to the old town. Easy access from the bus stop. The staff were wonderful and helpful.

EXCELLENT VALUE!! Stunning views from hotel room and restaurant - just wow!!! Parking was very convenient Room was fairly small ( we had a Deluxe Double) but well thought out layout, very comfortable bed and clean modern bathroom. We had dinner in the restaurant and the choice was limited. Luckily we were very happy with what was offered ( we both had ‘cote de veau’ and the chocolate desert). It was the cheapest restaurant meal we’d had so far in France, and it was the best.

The only minor thing was shower needs a lip on the floor to prevent flooding - luckily if hung up my clothes before getting into the shower 😩

Room noisy. People walking about above us. Very freaky floor. Disappointing.
