A very nice hotel in a great location, close to shops, restaurants, and the port, where all the boat tours and ferries depart. The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. We were able to borrow a parasol from the hotel free of charge, and beach towels were available for €3.50 per towel. It would be even better if the hotel charged for beach towels only from the second use, as some other hotels do.
Our room was very nice, comfortable, and well maintained.
The hotel parking costs €19 per day. There is a public parking lot opposite the hotel, where you can park in the blue-lined spaces for €1 per hour. The white-lined spaces near the hotel are limited to one hour. The public parking is charged only from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., so it seems to be a cheaper option than the hotel garage. In our case, the hotel parking was full anyway, so we were asked to park outside.
The breakfast was quite basic compared with the other hotels we stayed at in Sardinia, with a very limited selection of fruits and vegetables.

The staff could not have been any more helpful. So friendly & welcoming. The room was spacious & quiet. Breakfast was good & parking very easy.

La Vecchia Fonte is well located and some staff of the reception was really nice but with no really good English.
There is no variety of food in the breakfast, as well as it is not possible to collect some food before the breakfast starts if you have an early tour arranged. The lady at the kitchen is super nice and friendly. She can cook some pancakes or boiled egg up to your request ! But the one that is in charge of put the food can have a better attitude with the guests.
