Hotel Luze Boutique San Sebastian

Never before have I felt so welcome at a hotel. And what’s beautiful hotel! Exceptionally comfortable accommodation and beautiful grounds. Staff and management could not do enough for us.

It is expensive but also very special

The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in (in a hotel!) The staff were very friendly and professional. Check in was smooth and although we were an hour early, our room was ready so we were allowed straight in. A lovely dog bed and biscuits were provided for our small dog, a nice touch. Plenty of on site parking.

Drinks and meals could not be charged to your final bill, everything had to be paid for at the time. We ate dinner in the Bistro(a marquee on the side of the hotel), the food was delicious and the service very good, but the place itself was cold, (the weather was wet and squally outside which I appreciate cannot be helped). There were only four other tables occupied and therefore it lacked any atmosphere, not somewhere you wanted to linger after a nice dinner. We couldn’t go to the bar as we had the dog with us(fair enough) so we just had to go back to our room. Thank god the bed was so comfy! Breakfast was €30 per person extra, which I found excessive, needless to say we didn’t bother and ate elsewhere.

Staff were pretty friendly, grounds were very pleasant.

Room was very small and badly designed. The hotel charges 30 euros for breakfast and 25 euros for 1 HOUR in the spa. It just felt like a complete rip off so we didn't bother with either. And then at dinner, two extra wines were added to our bill which we didn't have.
