Holiday Inn Express Utrecht - Papendorp by IHG

Adequate room, friendly staff, relaxed environment, can get to town easily with busses 102 and 307 (bus stop 300 m from hotel). Ample and undercover parking.

Euro 20 for parking, although it is the hotel own parking. No fridge in room.

Personally, I think a little expensive for what you get. But, then for me on this occasion it was location, location, location I needed. Typical HiExpress room, which is clean, tidy and comfortable. Parking was easy. Evening meal, nothing exciting and breakfast was ok. Good bus links about 5 minutes away at the park and ride into Utrecht. Tap in and out with your bank card, and remember where the bus comes in the Utrecht Centraal, that will guide you when you return.

Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Good basic breakfast. I liked that I could park the car safely at the hotel for duration of stay since there were good public transport links nearby.

Breakfast and kind personnel

Poor choice of dinner, bad pillows
