Communication was fantastic, they sent me messages, with photographs, everything we needed to know was communicated to us before arrival. The room was fantastic there is a shed bathroom with another apartment but that was never a problem as we never saw anybody in the second department it was just an ideal location and really comfortable
Three sets of stairs up to the apartment, but this wasn’t a problem because you can expect that from these old buildings, but if you were elderly or had a sore back it could be an issue

Enjoyed our stay, loved the old fashioned vibe of the place, good sized room. The shared bathroom is spacious and spotless. The terrace is lovely, though was very hot during the day when we stayed. We enjoyed it in the morning and evening and didn't encounter any other guests.
15 min walk from the train station, though we could have gotten a taxi had we wanted.
Lighting could be stronger in both the room and in the entry and staircase.
Only an observation and not a complaint, the included breakfast at local cafe is quite minimal, though of good quality and there are choices. You can always buy extra however, if you need something more substantial.

The location is fabulous. Just a short walk in to Varenna. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within a short walk. The room we had had an amazing view and worked perfectly well for our 2 night stay. The rooftop terrace is amazing and no one use it… Get a sandwich from the shop directly opposite and eat it up there!!! 😍
Make sure you hike up to the castello in Varenna for the BEST views.
If I had to pick something I would have liked a full length mirror!

Location, rustic charm and the bonus of the sun terrace
Very comprehensive information to both locate and access the accommodation.
Floors weren’t very clean, needed washing although they were vacuumed. The bedspread was dirty and used for other guests without washing in between. The towels were thin and old. Didn’t like the shared bathroom.
