Gran Hotel De Passage

I liked the decoration, bed comfort and the shower.

The bathroom was not entirely separated, our view was of a wall, so our room barely had any natural light. The staff did not speak English and did not provide a quick tourist route or make us feel welcome. We had to leave our luggage in an unlocked room, entirely unsupervised, as there was no one in the building when we did so; it did not feel very safe. There was no hand wash in the shared toilet area.

Everything, location, staff, food ,just unbelievable how this is only 2 stars, I will definitely be returning, Ismal and his team were excellent hosts.

The location, very close to the main streets and great restaurant on the ground floor. Being able to leave are bags before the 3pm check in. Communications from the hotel were excellent. Lovely decor.

Layout of the room made it quite cramped around the bed and window area. Thin curtain acting as a door for the bathroom.

Loved the location. Really central but quiet. The car park was right opposite the hotel which was great. Reviews had mentioned the curtain divider, but this worked fine. I really liked the light in the shower, often they are very gloomy. We managed to lock our key in our bedroom with our day bag inside and were due to join a tour group. The staff member sort us out with a new key card instantly with no fuss and we were on time for our tour! I would recommend the accommodation but a new toilet seat and towels are top priority. Although we didn't eat in the restaurant it looked very good.

Complicated check in details and then our key was ready for us on top of the key safe?! The front door was open too. The toilet seat was cracked, so painful to use. A review in June 10 2026 mentioned a broken toilet seat. I messaged the owner who replied that they would sort it. It wasn't mended before we left. A review also mentioned the threadbare towels, they definitely need upgrading!
