Meruhdani Boutique Hotel Ubud

Gorgeous boutique hotel in a superb location! The staff were all really lovely, and the rooms clean. The overall upkeep of the hotel and facilities is excellent with a gorgeous pool in lush greenery….an idyllic setting for relaxing after a morning of sightseeing. I will definitely book this hotel again next time I’m in Ubud.

Breakfast was located off site to the hotet which was a short walk to a very quaint local cafe. There was a variety of selections to choose from that were well prepared. Coffee and Tea were also great there. Very relaxed atmosphere. Further it is a shame there isn't a second pool as the pool is small and there are limited day beds.

The Cafe became over crowded due to the timings of when people would choose to have breakfast. Perhaps patrons should book prior so they don't get turned away or are waiting for a table.

Breakfast - Convenient, fast and friendly service. Location - Walking distance to the major tourist attractions. But booking a grab directly to the hotel can be a bit busy/hectic, We found it easier to book walking a bit away from the hotel. All the staff were really friendly and professional but our favourite was the hotel's mascot....a chubby beagle named Kemal. Make sure to give him a few pets if you happen to stay here.

Very good pool. Spacious bedroom and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast (but very limited). The massage services and drivers recommended by them were very good and staff was helpful before our arrival with everything we needed during the trip organization.

There is no overhead shower and the hose is too short - if you are taller than an 8-yo kid, the hose is not long enough to hold over your head, forcing you to bend/crouch in the tub. Their breakfast model consists of a limited à la carte menu from their sister cafe next door from which you can choose one option of juice, one of coffee and one dish. The food is very good but insufficient (he had to complement it, paying for extra portions every day). However, what mostly affected our stay was the hotel’s cleanliness. This is the first time we stay at a hotel that had the room smell worse after the cleaning crew has left it, leaving behind a strong smell of body odor. We’ve brought that to management’s attention and they apologized (no action taken, that we know of). The bathroom rug and the bed sheets were stained and were never changed (the rug was literally grimy when we left).
