Standard hotel in nice location in the old town of Saint Savin, just 5 mins walk from the Abbey. The staff were friendly and helpful, room clean and comfortable. Easy accesible by car, public parking just opposite to the hotel and no problem with place.
Very good breakfast too. We stayed only one night, but it was pleasent stay.
The hotel is located on the main road through the town, so passing trucks can be noisy, but it wasn't a major issue.

I am a regular visitor at Hotel de France, so having a quiet room is important.
The friendliness & helpfulness of the young staff is outstanding ; as an older person I do not have great skills
with tech communications, & the young lady receptionist helped me with skill & goodwill,
which I hugely appreciated !
Some maintenance to the plumbing in my room may be required !

The location is ok and the host was friendly and helpful, and the wifi was good.
The booking.com details suggest there is a restaurant on site but there was not. The breakfast was only just adequate with no croissants, jam in a sachet and no hot food.
I have stayed in 2 star hotels which offer better facilities so I thought it was expensive for what it was.
