My room was very comfortable and offered a peaceful night's stay.
I was slightly concerned about automated check- in, but I had a reassuring message from the manager. When I arrived I found check-in process easy and it worked fine.
The Larches is a good location to the city centre, just 1 mile walk. I was going to a concert at The Halls so I would recommend as a lovely quiet place to stay.
There wasn't anything I didn't like. I have stayed here before and unless my memory fails me, I think last time (2023) I think breakfast was provided. I hadn't realised they didn't do breakfast, (probably my error of not checking!!) but there was a kitchen area with lots of things to use if you bring your own food.Tea and coffee and kettle were in the room so that's an added bonus!

East access to city centre. Kitchen and laundry facilities. Very clean. Friendly and helpful staff on the phone and in housekeeping.
Almost no sound proofing. It’s a converted house. Could hear the man upstairs snoring and was kept up by tv and loud people in the room across the hall. Felt like they were in my room. Helped I was there during the week and not the weekend, I think. Steep stairs to the first floor.

It was clean and location for the purpose of our visit was good. Bed comfy. Had everything we needed for a short stay.
Bathroom extremely cramped, radiators rusty, basin cracked and shower ran hot and cold. The bedroom fan couldn’t be used as it was far too noisy - fortunately we brought our own.
