Kassandra Bay Resort, Suites & Spa

Everything about our stay was fantastic!! The bed in the room was extremely comfortable and the room was so spacious and luxurious. The hotel knew we were visiting to celebrate my partner's 30th, and they surprised us with a bottle of bubbly and a fruit bowl and card on arrival. The staff were also so incredible at arranging a surprise birthday cake during breakfast, and the reservations team were always so quick to respond to my emails. Breakfast itself was delicious!! So many options, and great options for vegan/gluten free needs as well. Two main pools and a beach made it feel really uncrowded, although we did visit at the end of the season and the weather was quite cool/rainy so perhaps not so many people were outside. On that note, there was flash flooding one night and the hotel's drainage system was great. We had no idea about the chaotic scenes happening in Skiathos town with flooded streets and buildings. The hotel remained dry inside, with all water draining towards the beach. The hotel was also very quiet which we loved! No rowdy drunk people coming back at night. All the guests seemed like minded and respectful of other people's holidays. The location was great! We took the water taxi from the beach a couple of times, but mainly took the bus which was very cheap to get into and out of town. Only on one occasion, was the bus full so we had to walk. It took us about 30 minutes to walk into Skiathos town and it was a lovely straight forward walk too. Will definitely be back!

The only feedback I would note, is to be wary when booking a garden view room. Whilst our balcony didn't face a main path where people could walk by, it did face some plain astroturf and the roof of the breakfast room so it wasn't the most prettiest of views. At the time of booking, the cost difference between the garden view and a sea view was quite significant, but looking again at a last minute booking, the cost was quite minimal, so if you can, I'd book a better room for a more enjoyable view.

Amazing resort, spotless and big enough with multiple areas (3 pools and practically private beach) so you never feel it's busy. Amazing little port where a taxi boat can take you to town in 10 minutes! Superb service from the staff, everyone super nice and helpful! Gorgeous tranquil beach to enjoy a relaxing day listening to the waves and the best drinks brought to you by pressing one button! Great food options, never disappointed!

Beautiful resort with private beach, on a short drive to the old port of Skiathos

I would have given the resort a 10, as the overall experience was excellent. Unfortunately, my impression was spoiled on the last day when, after being only 30 minutes late for check-out, a staff member ( young guy) came to my door and repeatedly insisted that I leave immediately. He also claimed that he had called and that no one had answered, which was not true, as my daughter had spoken to him and declined his offer to collect our luggage. I understood the situation from the very first sentence, so being kept at the door and pressured in this way felt unnecessary and humiliating. It was a disappointing end to an otherwise wonderful stay.
