Lovely location, all to ourselves the first night.

Noisy fridge first night, switched off on the second, so slept well.

The Eyebright lodge was really well placed in terms of views and privacy. The guest book was super helpful. There were games and jigsaws which was nice. As well as proper coffee, tea bags, milk and some other extras. Really well stocked for kitchen utensils, cleaning items, blankets etc. No WiFi but phone signal was pretty good. The guidance on where to eat (in an email a few days before arrival) was helpful and accurate - it's also on their website. We needed extra fuel for the hot tub, called one of the owners and they sorted it really quickly (extra fuel has a cost but it was very reasonable).

The only negative is the size of the fridge, I expected a small under counter fridge, but not a mini bar sized one. Didn't impact the enjoyment of the place but I'd have appreciated a photo on the website so I could plan for food.

Located in a picturesque field with surrounding sheep and cows, extremely quiet and the perfect place to unwind and relax. It’s also a great location for exploring the surrounding hills, Cragside and villages. We loved the shepherds hut (we stayed in curlew), it had everything we needed and we loved the novelty of it. The hot tub is a great addition and it was a fun experience creating a fire to heat it up. We would highly recommend a stay here if you’re looking to escape to nature for a few nights.
