The location was off the main road and in the bush. Lovely swimming in the pool and watching the wildlife.The restaurant served a nice breakfast and I appreciated the vegetarian curry which was authentic and always varied. The staff were always friendly.
We would have preferred the hotel restaurant prices to be rupee as opposed to USD.

Spacious rooms, peaceful location, very nice pool area with some covered sunbeds for shade, nice terrrace space by the rooms, inhouse laundry service, helpfull staff. If you´re afraid of dogs, don´t worry when you read about the big pet dogs in other reviews, they are very calm and never approached us.
The place could do with some small maintenance: there was a gap on the bottom of the bedroom door (we never had insects inside though), paint on the restaurant ceiling needs a new coat, and I got a hole in my pants because of a nail sticking out on one of the restaurant chairs. The big white rooms felt a bit "cold". Breakfast was good, but gets a bit repetitive after a few nights.

The room was excellent, large and really clean. The on-site restaurant provided really good local food at a reasonable price. The staff were also really friendly and couldn't do enough for us. There is also a facility to do your own laundry for a small charge, which was really good. The gardens were lovely with lots of birds and monkeys passing through
It was a bit remote from town, but that being said, for a couple of nights, it was nice to enjoy the peace and quiet and a good base for Sigiriya Rock and elephant safaris
