The staff were friendly. The location was great. The meal in the restaurant was fantastic. Breakfast was good.

The shower steam could set off the smoke alarm. The window didn’t open in the bathroom or had an extractor fan so we were concerned to have a good shower as we heard the alarm the night before and the staff reaction.

I liked the peace and tranquility found in the hotel away from the hustle and bustle of the traffic flowing through the centre of Newton Stewart, Many of the reviews highlight the helpfulness of the staff and I would certainly fully endorse these sentiments. After a difficult drive, I was fortunate to arrive whilst meals were still being served so I was able to make use of the restaurant. I was very satisfied with the meal. The internet worked well and the hotel very kindly allowed me to park in the hotel car park when I had to complete my business the next day. There is a real charm to the hotel which sits within its own grounds which adds to its attractiveness.

The building itself has a distinct architectural heritage. There must be information on this but I just did not have time to investigate further as I was only staying one night and I was quite busy but more information on this would be very useful.

Great place and very friendly staff! They accommodated us during our trip and we really enjoyed staying there. Word of advice, ask to be put on the list for dinner as soon as you get there (unless you want to eat in another town). There are really only two places to eat in the town and the Creebridge is one of them, so dinner fills up quickly. Good thing! Because dinner is fantastic!

Appreciated Greek yogurt. Evening meal was nice with fresh vegetables.

When I arrived, the bins hadn’t been emptied in bathroom or bedroom and toilet not flushed properly. Previous guest’s shampoo in shower. Handrail on stairs looked in need of cleaning. Curtains hanging poorly off inadequate hooks. The WiFi signal was awful - kept cutting out. It all needed some TLC. Also, staff went in to tidy my room when I was at breakfast - never had this before, in any hotel!
