Chateau des Arpentis

Wonderful location, very peaceful and comfortable. The pool was great, heated up to a point that made it very pleasant. To be able to use the facilities to make some picknick to enjoy outside, have a coffee in the lounge area while reading in peace or to just grab a bucket and fill it with ice to cool a bottle of wine. Very romantic environment, large, beautiful and comfortable rooms with good bath/shower. Elegant breakfast served at the table if you choose to buy that, just decide the evening before. The caretaker made a great effort to make our 8 days enjoyable. Highly recommended.

We are used to different bedsheets, so the woolen blanket not covered in cotton sheet was not to our standard.

Beautiful unique historical property. Very comfortable and just fabulous. Our host Lawrence was charming and very accommodating and as an added benefit also spoke fluent English.

Need to have optional snacks (free or to purchase) for late afternoon/evening, also better beverage selections to include 0 alcohol beer. Horses on adjoining property are emaciated and are in dire need of veterinary attention (!).

Beautiful grounds. Lovely landscape well maintained

Linens and bedding were old.

Quiet, beautiful grounds and secluded.

Too far out of town.
