Fisherman Guesthouse Sudureyri

Very nice guesthouse. I made a mistake while booking and arrived to find that I booked a room with a shared bathroom. Luckily they did have another with an attached bathroom above the cafe/bar. It was also more convenient to the cafe. There is street parking but we didn't have any problems finding a close spot. We stayed 2 nights and went hiking in the Hornstrandir nature park so it was convenient to the docks. Breakfast was included but it started too late for the hike. They did accommodate us and let us come to the cafe early (staff came early) for a light breakfast. It was much appreciated. We had dinner the first night at the cafe and it was excellent and planned to eat there the second night but came too late. Make sure you check the restaurant hours which we did not. It closed much earlier than we thought. The bar was open so we assumed the cafe was as well. Not their fault. Room was comfortable and the staff was very friendly.

Nice central location. Street parking right next to rooms. Included breakfast was ok, though there was a sizable line to self-serve and some of the breakfast staff were not particularly efficient. Lots of young folks though, which was nice, good vibes.

Hotel restaurant food at dinner was kind of disappointing, but we didn't have many options in such a tiny isolated town. Portions were tiny and prices inflated. Room itself was a decent size, though bathroom was kind of cramped especially the shower. Hotel restaurant served as reception area, and the Czech college student working there was not very well trained though he did try his best.

Clean, comfort and quiet.

I think they didn’t clean the shower because there was an empty shampoo sachet left on the shower room.

booking.com didnot allow me to select a triple room so I booked 2. Only to find one room had 3 beds so i paid a lot extra for no reason. Also one shared bathroom for 5 bedrooms is not good. I misinterpreted the note saying shared bathroom which I wrongly assumed to be between the 2 rooms I had booked not the whole floor.
