Pension Ballwein

Wonderful property and exceptional hosts. So warm and welcoming. Beautiful home in traditional alpine design, spotlesly clean. Bedroom and bathroom were great size, bright and airy with every detail and need considered. We loved it. Location was perfect, beautiful views of surrounding fields and mountains and still only a 15 min bus journey from city centre (less during quiet times of day) or a very pleasant 30 min walk or so. Great choice at breakfast. This property has everything you could need for an enjoyable stay but the best bit was our lovely hosts who patiently provided advice on sightseeing, places to eat, transport etc. Their kindness was the highlight. We would stay here if we were in Salzburg again.

The property is a little away from the crowded city, which means it’s peaceful and quiet. It has beautiful views of the mountains. Getting to the city centre is very easy. We were in room 11 that has nice views and we were very happy with the hotel and facilities. There is an elevator as well. Bus 21 drops you right outside the hotel. The stop is Gsengerweg. To get to Salzburg hbf, you need to change buses but it was simple and convenient. The hosts Daniella and Simon, are fantastic. They made us feel welcome, were kind and gave us good advice on navigating Salzburg. We loved our stay here.
