Kistar Cave Hotel

We stayed at Kistar Cave Hotel in Uçhisar during our holiday and were very satisfied. Location: It is in a fantastic location, within walking distance to Uçhisar Castle and the center of the region. The view and surroundings were magnificent. Rooms: The texture, cleanliness, and comfort of the cave rooms were amazing. Traditional architecture is well-preserved with tasteful modern amenities, and the beds were very comfortable. Service and Staff: The hotel management and all the staff were exceptionally caring, friendly, and helpful. They made us feel right at home from check-in to check-out and were very supportive in planning our tours and activities. Breakfast: The breakfast served every morning was both very fresh and full of local delicacies, a wonderful way to start the day. If our path leads us back to Cappadocia, this will definitely be our choice again. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a great stay!

Location great, in the quieter part of Uchisar , looking straight out over Pigeon Valley , we could watch the hot air balloons early in the morning. Breakfast was exceptional with all tastes catered for. Hamida was fantastic, so friendly and willing to help in any way. We loved all the amazing decorations from the past, which enhanced the interesting cave hotel design. The delightful owner, Mr Mehmet, is obviously passionate about the place.

We stayed here 11 years ago so knew it was a great location, thankfully the rooms were just as comfortable and the breakfast as delicious as we remembered, with homemade yogurt, beautiful jams and possibly the best pancakes we’ve ever tasted. The staff were absolutely amazing, so welcoming and helpful, Hamide was a wonderful host and gave such helpful advise on where to visit, spoke perfect English too. The terrace has a perfect view of the balloons if you’re willing to get up early enough.

Absolutely nothing

The hospitality was the best I have received, and I travel a lot so this really means something. Hamida and suliman, and all other staff went above and beyond and treat you like family. The rooms were clean, very spacious for a family of five (three teenagers). The breakfast was delicious. The staff were very helpful in organising excursions and giving advice too. Overall an excellent stay.
