A good location for the train station, public transport and local attractions, very helpful reception staff. Our room and shower etc were good. The hotel is exceptionally clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much
Breakfast choices not so great for healthy vegetarians and coffee could have been better.

While the Hotel Scherer was little out of the old part of Salzburg, it was an easy 15-20 minute walk or 5-10 mins by bus, with bus stops just around the corner. This is a lovely small family run hotel with lovely staff, and the breakfast was outstanding! Hellene on reception was incredibly helpful and we enjoyed our stay. Note that you can get a free public transport pass when staying here so ask at reception and bus service is vey good.

Big room with enough privacy. Location was okay.
Night staff was friendly. But we had experienced no hospitality with the morning staff by not greeting us, we felt like we were not welcome anymore. Left our luggage at the front office and picked it up later, but were not greeted anymore at our arrival. Even our child greeted them without response back.
