Namba Oriental Hotel

Great location, extra small services that were included ie laundry, break out lounge with small amenities and snacks

Didn’t realise that there was a small additional tax when we got there

We stayed in the Residential Family Room with Lounge Access, and overall, we had a very pleasant stay. The room was very spacious for our family of three, with two bunks and two single beds. The beds were bigger than expected. One of the best features of the room was the washer and dryer, which was incredibly convenient as we could do our laundry anytime without having to use the shared laundry room. Although the hotel had plenty of washing machines, the laundry room could get quite busy. They also provided laundry detergent, which was a nice touch. Another great feature was the vacuum-packing facility in the laundry room, allowing us to compress our clothes and save luggage space. I wish more hotels would offer this facility, as it is so useful for travellers! The lounge access was another bonus. It was a comfortable place to sit, relax and spend time with friends and family. The lounge offered a selection of alcoholic and soft drinks, tea, coffee, snacks, fruit and nuts, as well as a pancake maker. It was lovely to have the option of enjoying a drink or a snack without having to go out. Our room was clean, and we stayed on the third floor, which was also the reception level. The area was clean and smelled fresh. We had friends who stayed at the same hotel in a Triple Room mentioned the cigarette smell in the corridors, which affected their experience. I did visit their floor, and the experience was not pleasant, it felt suffocating with cigarette smell. On a positive note, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, and they were happy to assist with our requests. The location was excellent, surrounded by plenty of shops and restaurants. Namba Station was only about 300 metres away, making it an easy walk even with a large suitcase. I would happily stay here again, but I would definitely choose the Residential Family Room with Lounge Access.

The corridors smelled strongly of cigarette smoke on one of the floor that a friend was staying on.

Excellent location. The guests lounge with free drinks and snacks was a wonderful bonus.
