Derwent House

Derwent House is a great place to stay with beautiful colourful decor. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and there are lots of personal touches to give guests a personalised stay.

Breakfast was very good. Honesty bar and snacks available were a nice touch. The staff were all very nice, friendly and helpful.

The staff were lovely and looked after us so well. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a suite and we loved the quirkiness of it. Didn’t get time to have a dip in the pool but we enjoyed the jacuzzi.

There was absolutely nothing not to like.

The staff were first class - very helpful and friendly. The main building was welcoming and comfortable. The pool area good and a nice sun trap although overlooked by adjacent building, but it is a city hotel and so should be expected. Breakfast was good. The area felt safe, and close to good restaurants and bars.

My room (5) was small and in need of a bit of tlc. The bed was comfortable and a good size, however very little room for 2 people with cases etc. There was no window that could be left without curtains drawn unless you like people seeing you, and the main glass door opened directly onto the pool area and sun lounge occupiers. No fridge in the room. My friends had rooms that were better arranged and were better maintained. The bathroom was a little small but was ok for a short stay and has hair and shower toiletries.
