Villa Almoezia Charming B&B

Sebastiano, our host, was amazing. Super hospitable and nice. Gave us all the information to get around. The villa itself is extremely cute with amazing views.

Sebastiano and his family were excellent hosts and gave us a lot of very useful local information. The setting is as beautiful as the pictures, set high on a hill, and feels very traditional. The rooms had everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast on the terrace was fantastic. It felt private and homely and we’d definitely return.

There was nothing we didn’t like!

Lovely host. Rustic rooms and location.

Location is far from the centre of Taormina. yes its a 10 min walk downhill! we never tried the uphill. perhaps if it was a cheaper price it would help the rating, very expensive for the distance from centre.

The accommodation has an old-school charm, and I don't have any issues with it being old as it adds to its authenticity, but it should be better maintained.The room temperature is pleasant for sleeping, but unfortunately, the bed is incredibly uncomfortable and there are mosquitoes and flies.The garden could be beautiful, but it is not maintained, so one has to constantly avoid branches on the way to the room or the pool.View from the pool, as I mentioned in the title is AMAZING.Sebastian is really trying to be a good host. He gave us good directions to navigate Taormina. What's great is that there are stairs nearby that lead to the city center in 15 minutes. Right next to it is a cable car that takes you to the beach. It's easy to return by bus, although the last one is at 9:50 PM, but it was enough for us.

Only plastic cups are available in the apartment, which is a bit disappointing if you want to drink wine.The hairdryer is so old that even with the best intentions, my girlfriend couldn't dry her hair. The pool isn't lit by night :( And the WORST part by far, there are a lot of cats on the property. I love animals, so it was really difficult for me to see cats in urgent need of veterinary care, such as sterilization (there are so many young cats), and flea treatment, one cat has a leaking eye, and two small kittens look quite sick.
