Los mosquitos que a pesar de los mosquiteros aún así te llegan a picar. Hay que llevar bastante repelente ecológico

La situation en pleine forêt est exceptionnelle. Des animaux se balladent partout autour des chalets. Il y a environ 300, entre le parking et le chalet. Ce chemin est magnifique.

En dessous de notre habitation il y avait une grande habitation avec un groupe de jeunes bénévoles qui travaillent je pense pour le Jaguar rescue center qui possède les chalets. Ces jeunes étaitentr très bruyants le soirs. C'est vraiment dommage car le lieu est merveilleux !

We loved this place - set out in the middle of the rain forest with little other than toucans, howler monkeys, bats and agouti for company. I admit that if you are looking for a bland, all inclusive resort - La Ceiba may not be for you. But if you you want to sleep in the rainforest then this place is beyond perfect. There's a decent track about 400m long from where you park to the accommodation. It is lit at night - watch out for snakes and you'll definitely see frogs.

Just a suggestion - you should promote the work of the Jaguar Rescue Center more. We stayed here partly because the money is used to help wildlife - but many people may not make that connection and so may not go and visit the JRC

Me Tarzan, you Jane with hot water, a fan and a kitchen! Great wildlife but difficult to see. A colony of (I believe) insectivorous bats in the upstairs bedroom. A real in-the-jungle appeal. A beautifully build wooden building in the jungle.

Very remote, no phone signal, no internet. We are intrepid older folk but we were concerned that if we DID have an emergency there was now way to get rapid aid. Sadly little to no input from the staff but they did come and change our empty gas signal. Some wildlife interpretation would have gone a long way. Some information leaflets about the possible wildlife would have done. No other guests. There was (bewilderingly) absolutely no attempt to keep the wildlife out of the house. No mosquito mesh, no glass, the mosquito net didn’t fit the bed. Having said all this we didn’t get bitten much!
