Chateau de Vaux

To be honest it wasn’t what we were expecting, but we loved the quirky nature of the room and the hotel. Our host was very polite and friendly. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay.

No bar or restaurant, after a long drive we would have enjoyed it if the was one.

Everything! From the moment we arrived we were greeted at the gates and given a tour of the property. It was a glorious late September afternoon. The grounds were great to walk around and our dog did not want to leave. The bedroom on the top floor had an exceptional bed! We had the best sleep, and didn’t want to get out of bed in the morning, lovely view from the bed and enjoyed the peace and quiet! Breakfast was delicious and generous hosts all round. Perfect location outside of Le Mans - you have to stay, but more than one night is better! We ate at the bistrot in town and was not disappointed. Excellent service and wonderful meal and hospitality.

It would have been handy to have a small fridge in the room or accessible to guests - my husband has medication that needed refrigeration. But this didn’t take away from our experience.

Very pretty lovely garden very okd and impressive property Good breakfast

Hot water didn’t work and no-one on site to ask. Also, we stayed one night and were charged €30 for two dogs which we thought was steep in comparison to other places we have stayed.
