Rockwell East-Tower Bridge

Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. Our room was facing the road but was quiet.

The plastic strip on the shower door was moldy and there was dust on the top of the doorframe in the bathroom.

Location was great and easy to find. The room was lovely and had a great view. The kitchen area was lovely for self catering- all you need really. Bathroom lovely and bed comfortable.Staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. The added bonus of storing our suitcases after vacating enabled us to enjoy our day.

The breakfast. Very poor lay out on top of the bar. Nowhere to put plates whilst trying to get your food out of the food servers. Nowhere to put the lids off them whilst trying to get your food. The food servers were inadequate for holding the volume of food which were in there- I have the same ones at home for family gatherings - not catering for a hotel! And how long had the food been in there? Had to ask for cups to make a drink. Milk was in a teapot-not labelled so didn’t know it was there. The butter was just piled in a dish so everyone was just dipping in there. Nowhere to butter your toast /bread. Everyone was in everyone’s way. The food in the food servers was cold due to the volume in them. The toasters were propped on the bar- bread at one end- toaster at the other. Very cheap toasters -2 x2 slice toasters which took an age to toast. Everyone stood waiting. Hard to pour a hot drink as nowhere to put your cup so doing it midair, or carrying the jugs to your table which in a busy area is unsafe to do. The towels/robes/ tea towels in the room were clean but rough and frayed which I feel let down the luxury of the room. A few scuffs and marks but nothing major.

It was spacious, clean and comfortable. The location was really good for the Tower of London area.

The dining area for breakfast was far too small so was having to wait for a table etc.

Location was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Your TV was probably the worse set up we have EVER encountered. There were 5 stations with NOTHING on and you couldn't access APPS on the TV so there was literally nothing to watch at night.
