Breakfast good - could have had cheeses and ham as an extra choice

Shower temperature and we expected bar to be open after 11

The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel very clean and comfortable. The location is great for a walk into Shaftsbury. The swimming pool looked great but we didn’t use it

The location is very good with pleasant surroundings. The staff were very friendly and I thought the breakfast and evening meals were very tasty and good value for money. The pool and sauna were nice and kept well. Our room was very clean, although the beds could have been more comfortable.

We were warned that an event would be held on the Saturday night and there would be 'some low level noise'. Unfortunately our room was just above the venue and the noise was deafening! We couldn't hear the television or sleep even with earplugs in, with loud music and people singing and shouting outside our window. Eventually I spoke to Reception and they told the organisers to turn the music down. To be fair the music stopped promptly at midnight and there was no further noise. However we had a long journey the following day and I would have cancelled the booking if I'd known the noise would disturb our sleep. I would suggest checking there are no events when booking unless guaranteed a quiet room.
