Séjours & Affaires Poitiers Lamartine

Position was excellent for walking to the centre of town and train station. There was a restaurant & cafe downstairs also.

Good location although there is a steep walk up to the old town. Secure parking was good for our motorbike given the location didn’t seem to have any bike parking spots. It has risen to 9 euros for the night though. Breakfast was excellent value. Staff were polite and helpful.

Parking for overnight too expensive

All that is in the property description is accurate and reason to book again.

The lack of air conditioning during record setting heat wave made the stay almost intolerable. Not the fault of the listing or the property but as this record high temperature are too common to not include a warning on the listing. The option to include a tower AC unit as an extra

I think the fact that I don’t speak french was against me. That’s my bad. The person trying to help couldn’t speak English so it was all very confusing and frustrating. Once I was inside my room I felt better but the overall feeling of the whole building and the room was that it was in need of a refurb. I found the plughole on the wall far out of the way from the desk annoying and the bathroom shower curtail made the floor full of water but it was nice and warm so I was happy. The enormous pillows were not great, could do with regular sized pillows that were more soft. Trying to get the tv to work was impossible, I think the battery was flat. I was unable to exit the parking as the fob did not work so had to go back inside and find someone to help. It all took a long time. I’m going to give my stay a five out of ten and will not be returning there again.
