Oban Bay Hotel

Location was excellent Value of the room was excellent The seating area at front of hotel was excellent Decor in the rooms was lovely Staff overall were lovely and attentive

Drinks prices at bar were most expensive we had experienced at a hotel. Only had one due to that which was dissapointing as we would have remained at the bar area due to its wonderful views. Local prices were far cheaper. Some aspects of breakfast was dissapointing. First breakfast service was overwhelmed which led to extremely long wait and food that was dry probably due to being under grill or hot plate for a long duration. Second days service was quick but food was flavourless unfortunately. Room we were in had the washing machines in close proximity which droned on through the night causing sleep issues.

Great place to stay while visiting Oban. Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful waterfront views from sitting areas, and wonderful restaurant on property.

We would have appreciated having a/c for a warmer weather visit, but the temps cooled down in the evening and there was a breeze from the ocean. We were able to open the window for a comfortable night's sleep. Parking is a bit of an issue, but we were able to drop off our bags and free parking was available elsewhere. The front desk can provide info on those locations. Otherwise, there is valet parking for a fee.

The location was great, and the sitting area with bay windows was beautiful. The staff were really good including the reception, the cleaning staff and the morning restaurant staff.

There is very very limited parking, the room was exceptionally hot and uncomfortable, was really quite expensive for what we got.
