The staff were so friendly, attentive and smiley. The food was delicious and great value for the food and the wine

The steps up into the en-suite in the bishops room. Couldn’t see a suitable low light so not to disturb husband when getting up in the darkness. En-suite rather small.

Excellent hotel in a great location

It's a pity the restaurant was closed the nights I stayed.

The pillows to hard

Lovely helpful staff, who liked my dog!

Room was small and too hot (hardly surprising, given the weather). Noisy machinery throughout the night, and we couldn’t close the windows. No choice of pillows (I sleep on my front), and I ended up with a very stiff neck. Breakfast felt very old-fashioned. Filter coffee? Fine, but from the nineties. Packaged bread? Fine, but there are artisan bakers everywhere these days. Great sausage, but all a bit THF….sorry to be picky, but I had expected something better for the price. Staff were all brilliant, working really hard. Thank you.
