Very clean. Very luminous. Spacious rooms. Localization. Nice garden. Instructions to find the keys after 22h at check-in very clear. Breakfast also nice

Plant decoration in castle are in plastic. At reception checkout no personal was available. Other client before me rang several times the bell but nobody. We waited for long time. Finally I needed to go and search for someone in the kitchen. Those people were surprised but could help the other client and myself finally with checkout. Organization at breakfast poor as orders for omelette and other were not linked to table or client. Personal had to go table by table to ask who had placed the order. This happened for all the orders I saw passing that morning; about 3-4 times.

Excellent location for taking the ferry to Newcastle, beautiful and vast gardens surrounding the hotel, great parking facilities and free EV charging point, breakfast was great and tasted even better on the terrace in the sun facing the garden. Staff were friendly and ready to help when we requested a room with a window overlooking the garden. The place is dog friendly which is a bonus when you're travelling with a pet - again, the park around the hotel was fabulous for dog walking.

There was no restaurant in the hotel and the one next door was very pricey. We found a place nearby but the food was not very good.

Great location. Situated within a beautiful park with good walking routes all around. Great parking right outside. Spacious room with a view over the gardens. Most of all they were so welcoming for our dogs. Great restaurant next door for evenings with others very close by.
