Hannon's Hotel

Wonderful staff, very friendly and helpful. Decor was basic but the horltel was clean, warm and homly.

Modernise bathrooms.

Great location, plentiful parking, spacious comfortable rooms. Staff very friendly and accommodating. The food was really good too, fresh homemade soup in particular was delicious, and lots of options for breakfast the following morning.

Traffic noise. Sealing the windows better would improve this greatly.

ALL Staff were excellent. Food options very good, bar food menu looked great (but ate elsewhere as we went out). Evening bar service and staff were excellent. Breakfast was excellent, food and service !

NOISE ALL NIGHT Despite keeping the window closed, all night the hum of air-con or ventaltion systems made it very hard to sleep. At 6am (Sunday morning) it got much louder, possible heating system (??) We had a very poor sleep, and nothing after 6am, we had to just get an early breakfast and leaving. Rooms (our anyway) very outdated. Hotel is 21 years old, but our room looked 30+ years. Weird room layout with bed beside the door and space elsewhere, locker to hit against as you enter. Bathroom poorly serviced, loose door handles, rusty fittings, etc. (bed itself was excellent!) When I said it to the staff the next day, I was told to contact them directly, dont use a booking service. How are we meant to know that ? It felt like they are giving sub-standard rooms to online bookings. In 20026 this is bad business. I was not offered any discount or voucher for another stay.
