Sagara Villas and Suites Sanur by AHM

The villa was great-spacious, good facilities and the pool excellent. Location was good too as only a short walk to the beach and shops, bars restaurants within walking distance. The gardens are beautiful and breakfast by the main pool was all very relaxed with the birds singing in the trees.

The kitchen in the villa was not very clean. I wouldn't have cooked in there, but we always went out to eat so not an issue.

Very friendly, helpful staff willing to accommodate our every need including allowing us to use the facilities after checkout until our late-night flight. Cooking class was great value and we learnt a lot.

The villa was stunning. It is spacious, neat and has everything you need. The garden is picturesque and the pool temperature was perfect. We loved the outdoor shower, big bath tub, outdoor kutchen and lounge area outside with fans. Staff were accommodating when we requested iron, ironing board, oat milk, a baby sitter and transfers. The staff are wonderful with children. Nothing is too much trouble. The food was excellent quality. My son raved about the French breakfast and I enjoyed one of the best steaks with peppercorns sauce. We spent one night in a suite and that was also of high standard. The shuttle travels past Segara which is easy to hail. We loved this quieter southern end of Sanur. There are also sunbeds on the beach for Segara. The spa was also wonderful for massages. The ladies in the spa were lovely and very good at massages abd creating a relaxing and attentive environment. The choice of ouls was also lovely. The Spa is a beautiful serene setting. We were all very sad to leave Segara and are already talking about when we will return.

It was a little walk to the the beach but it wasn't too bad.

The room was spacious and the location of the Hotel is good as just about far away from the busy area.

The room we booked had a jacuzzi and a large bathroom, which were among the reasons we chose it, but unfortunately neither was up to the standard we expected. The jacuzzi in particular needs to be replaced or at least properly refurbished. Many of the jets appeared corroded, and when we switched on the water there was such an unpleasant smell that we decided not to use it at all. The bathroom also had problems with water pressure and the hot water supply. Filling the bathtub took an extremely long time, and maintaining sufficiently hot water was an issue. The soap dispensers also looked very cheap — basically unattractive plastic bottles — and some were almost empty and had not been refilled when the room was serviced. Even the bathrobes were disappointing. They were made from very thin material and felt more like the type of hospital gown you might have been given 30 years ago than the quality of bathrobe you would expect from a hotel of this standard. Overall, the room itself had plenty of potential, but some of the fittings, bathroom amenities and attention to detail are in need of a serious upgrade to match the image and price point of the property. Last thing was that there are only a few sundbed so if you decide to stay by the pool you need to go early and secure a bed.
