Staff offered an option for different room that we need
It was ok, only noisy at night but the manager warned it

it was very cute and directly across the street from the beach. My room had air conditioning. The pool was nice.
It was not updated but very charming.

The young lady who checked me in was extremely professional. She saw that I was exhausted from the flight. She offered me a room away from all the street noise (it was still very noisy). She was kind and empathetic.
I recommend they plug in the refrigerator as soon as a booking is made. The refrigerator smelled musty and moldy. Also, turn on the a/c for us Westerners prior to arrival. Escondido is extremely hot, even at night.
