Altstadthotel Harburg

Super friendly staff, comfortable beds

Lack of an elevator

I was visiting Hamburg by car - in that sense, this hotel can't be beat, they have a small parking lot in the back (5 Euros per night is absolutely fair). The single rooms are somewhat small, but functional. The breakfast is pretty good and the staff was quite friendly. Small things, but I really liked that you get coffee, tea and even a free mineral water bottle on your stay!

There is no elevator, so it was a bit cumbersome for my mother to go up the stairs with a bag. There are train tracks nearby, which are definitely on the loud side, so you have to close the window during the night.

Everything was just fine! The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was good, with a nice selection of options that was just enough to start the day. The hotel was peaceful and quiet, which made for a very relaxing stay. The location is also convenient, with a metro station only a 5-minute walk away. Reaching the city center takes approximately 20 minutes by public transport. I would gladly stay here again.

friendly staff, clean, comfortable

very expensive for the location
