Campi Elisi

It was well equipped and I had booked it for the washing machine as a bonus.

Bedside light didn't work so had to swap it for the one on the other side. No remote control for the Aircon in the bedroom or the telly. Patio doors led to an enclosured terrace with the washing machine etc, but couldn't open any windows so no air into the warm bedroom. There were little steps everywhere which would have been OK if I hadn't had a dodgy knee. The light switches for the living room were at the other side of the main wall next to the bathroom, so when you went in you were in darkness, stepped down and had to walk to the other end of the room to turn on the lights, a trip hazard for anyone. Massive fridge freezer but I didn't know they were switched on at the switches next to the coffee machine and accidentally turned them off so fridge went cold. Lovely little balcony to sit on but on main Street and very noisy. According to the directions there is a supermarket 8 minutes walk away, if you are Usain bolt maybe, but it had everything you needed. Be warned that every taxi I had regardless of the distance taken, or time of the day charged me £20 euros..... So even coming 5 minutes from the shop it was the same price 😳😳😳😳. Everywhere else I had been in Italy was on a meter so I don't know if it's a scicily thing 🤣. Ohhhh but one main disadvantage was the keys..... One to open the front door. One to call and operate the lift, one for the hallway door and one for the room door...... A bit excessive to be honest and a real faff if carrying anything 😳. Plus due to the tiled floors the upstairs neighbour played music well past 11pm which was disturbing. The lady that met me and helped me though went above and beyond when my train was over 2 hours late and I didn't arrive until almost midnight. She was brilliant throughout the stay 👍
