Grand Peninsula Hotel

We've really enjoyed the stay! It has a very convenient location - all tourists attractions with walking distance (like Mosques. cisterns, Topkapi palace and so on). Transport is also with good walking distance (T1, T6, bus), so you can get everywhere without any trouble. Breakfast was decent enough, a good amount of food where everyone can make a choice according to its preferences. Well, french fries included even, as well as fresh fruits, omelette, porridge and so on. The room is equipped with air conditioner also, so no issue to stay at hot weather. The place is also quite calm so you can just open windows and have a fresh breeze from Marmaray sea. If you want to observe this beautiful sea you can go upstairs to the terrace which is available for all guests at any time. The personnel is very attentive, friendly and helpful - they are always ready to support guests. I strongly recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to enjoy the city without suffering! P.S We would like to extend special thanks to the reception man who helped us in our special situation!

The reception is managed by a young and polity team. I was initially given a ground floor room, but once I asked - I was moved to a 2nd floor room which was more spacious. As I was out early that day, the staff took care of moving my luggage. On the check out day I was able to leave my luggage with them without additional costs.

The breakfast was not that great. Firstly, it was only possible to eat it in the basement parlour which wasn’t too cozy. Secondly, the variety of food was quite weird. There were no cold cut meats at all, except some highly processed meat-like slices of sth. French fries instead of regular ham is a questionable breakfast choice. No heated dishes were used so scrambled eggs were cold even despite me showing up to eat at 8am sharp. There was no option of toasting your bread. Overall - I don’t understand such high ratings for breakfast at this place. It was the biggest disappointment :( Aside from that - the terrace is kind of just there, looking bare and sort of unkept. I think the hotel would benefit greatly from adjusting it to be a cozy space, where one can also bring up their breakfast.
