Albergue Albas EXCLUSIVO para Peregrinos

The facility is solely for pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago. So, those staying there had a common purpose and understood that this place is for getting rest. I really liked the lockers with padlocks provided with each bunk. The beds were functional and typical of albergue on the Camino. It is also one of a few albergues that had curtains at each bunk so shut out external light if desired by the pilgrim. When I stayed there, the place was probably only 10% occupied. So, it was very quiet. There was an air conditioner that sort of cooled the dorm a little. Electric fans were available for additional cooling. The pedestrian zone with shops, cafes, and restaurants was only 15 minutes away on foot.

It was a little bit hard to find.

I loved having the privacy curtains. Each bunkbed was in its own “cubby area” so you weren’t on top of others. The commingled bathroom had two toilets and three showers. The tiny kitchen was functional. There was a laundry room and a large outdoor roof area for drying clothes.

It wasn’t on the Camino Frances, as I had hoped. It was a longer walk to the cathedral and old town area. Other than the small kitchen, there was no place to hang out.

A great warm and friendly welcome. Bed was so good with curtain, light and charging station. Laundry and outside washing lines were appreciated. Facilities good. Highly recommend this hostel.

It was a private room in a hostel and all the facilities worked fine. We had our privacy. The cost of the room was ok.

Room was a little small and stuffy.
